Cesar Blanco was elected to the State House in 2014. Previously, Blanco served as a Missile Stinger gunner and Military Intelligence Analyst in the United States Navy. After returning home, Blanco served as Chief of Staff for El Paso Congressmen Pete Gallego and Ciro Rodriguez, and worked as a Congressional Relations Officer for the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
As a legislator, Blanco is focused on economic security and ensuring Texans have access to health care and the skills they need to be competitive in the global economy. This past session, he served on the House Committees on Defense and Veteran Affairs, Public Health, and Rules and Resolutions, and Chaired the Texas House Border Caucus.
